COP28 Side Event: Climate Data, Science and Services for Better Health

This event will highlight key findings on the global status of climate services, and the immense untapped potential for climate science application in the health sector, based on the recently published WMO State of Climate Services for Health report. A transdisciplinary panel including the UKHSA/ONS/Wellcome Trust funded Project on Standards for Official Statistics on Climate and Health Interactions and the Climate Central climate attributions team will discuss opportunities and mechanisms to address gaps to bring the climate and health communities together and how to better communicate the impacts and needs for accelerated climate action for better health and well-being.
