Clean Energy Education Campaign
The Challenge
Climate change has a profound impact on our energy systems. Rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and changing precipitation patterns all affect energy production, distribution, and reliability. Increased demand to cool buildings during high heat days can overwhelm energy systems. As the demand for energy increases, we must ensure that all communities can access energy efficiency and clean energy programs to reduce consumption and pollution.
Campaign Description
In 2024, the Los Angeles Regional Collaborative will launch a social media campaign to share resources and tips to promote more sustainable energy usage in greater Los Angeles region. We are currently recruiting distribution partners from local government, county departments, academia, and non-profit organizations. We hope you will join us! To receive regular reminders and links to re-share content, please sign-up here.

Campaign Background & Supporters
During LARC’s April 2024 Network Meeting, representatives from academia, government, energy-focused non-profits, and environmental justice groups brainstormed potential topics for the clean energy social media campaign. Browse the potential topics in the images below or see our meeting notes. If there are either topics that you would to see us cover or additional materials you would be interested in distributing, please contact us. Our next step will be to draft and design a set of content, and then ask our registered distribution partners for their feedback. If you are interested in providing feedback, please take a moment to sign-up above.
Our Clean Energy Education Campaign follows the model created for LARC’s successful Extreme Heat Campaign. In 2023, LARC was awarded a Community Benefits Grant to expand our efforts and develop new energy content.
Thank you to LARC’s network supporters, Calpine Energy, and the Clean Power Alliance for generously sponsoring LARC’s clean energy education campaign.
